There's always something to do in Bauple. You are welcome to join with the locals in their weekly activities and events, or enjoy the sights on Bauple Drive (Tourist Drive No. 6), as a welcome break from the Bruce Highway. There are two playgrounds both with toilet blocks that are open 24/7. An on leash oval where you can give your pets a walk (please be a responsible owner clean up after them). The Bauple Museum is open Friday to Tuesday, 9am until 2pm where you an get a coffee, tea, cold drinks and something to nibble on, or an ice-cream if you wish! Explore the history trail and read about life when the Bauple Sugar Mill was running at it's prime. A family favourite is a visit to the Bauple Museum, that is loaded with iconic history through from its pioneering days. Take in the views with a safe place to pull over and take photos, of Bauple Mountain and the sugar cane crop fields, which are quite spectacular for those not from the area. Stay at one of the free camps and enjoy the peaceful tranquility Bauple has to offer. A welcome stopover for the weary travellor.

What is Bauple Famous For?

Home of the original Native Bauple Nut

Welcome to Bauple Queensland, home of the original Bauple Nut, found on Bauple Mountain in 1858. Better known as Macadamia nuts, this small town has much to offer. Explore the remains of the historic Sugar Mill,  the largest in the district when it was established in 1896. Take a ride along the Bauple Tourist Drive and admire the sugar cane crops. Come and discover the unique history of Bauple Queensland
